Zeds Dead
Toronto, Canada's electronic music duo Zeds Dead consists of Dylan “DC” Mamid and Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan.
The group's name is derived from a Bruce Willis quote in the movie Pulp Fiction. When asked about acquiring a new chopper, he gives this notable quote. This quote can be heard in one of the group’s earlier songs, “White Satin”.
The duo began producing in 2007 under the name Mass Production with limited success. It wasn't until 2009, after changing their name to Zeds Dead and releasing their first track, “Journey of a Lifetime”, that they began gaining recognition. In 2010, the group started touring, initially in North America and then in the UK.
Today, they are recognized for their exploration of a wide variety of genres that blend elements of UK garage, house, electro house, hip-hop, glitch, drum and bass, and more.
