Zeds Dead
Zeds Dead is the Toronto electronic music duo of Dylan Mamid, known as DC, and Zachary Rapp-Rovan, known as Hooks. They rose to prominence through original tracks and remixes released between 2009 and 2010, then became regulars on the international touring circuit.
The pair's music moves across dubstep, UK garage, house, electro house, hip-hop, glitch and drum and bass, often bringing those styles into the same body of work. Their catalog includes releases through their Deadbeats label as well as Ultra Records, Night Bass Records and Deadbeats x Circus Records.
Zeds Dead has also been known as Zed's Dead and Zeds Dead Illuminati. The project remains centered on Mamid and Rapp-Rovan's collaboration, with a sound that draws from bass music and club-focused electronic styles while leaving room for hip-hop and UK dance-music influences.
