Tyler, The Creator

Tyler Gregory Okonma, known as Tyler, The Creator, was born on March 6, 1991. He is a rapper, singer, record producer, video director, stylist, TV writer, and actor from California. He gained significant attention in the early 2010s as a founding member of the now-dissolved rap group Odd Future.

Recognizable for his vibrant personality and surreal lyrical style, Tyler released his debut mixtape, Bastard, in 2009. His first major album, Goblin, came out in 2011 under XL Recordings, featuring controversial topics and aggressive soundscapes. Tyler continued to release albums every two years, in line with the project's preparation.

Tyler’s third album, Wolf, was released in 2013 through Odd Future Records with more conventional themes and sounds than his earlier work.

His fourth album, Cherry Bomb, arrived on April 13, 2015, featuring brighter and more positive themes. In a 2018 re-release, Tyler expressed that Cherry Bomb is his personal favorite album, although he doesn’t consider it his best, appreciating its amazing and intriguing production.

The fifth album, Flower Boy, dropped on July 21, 2017, under Columbia Records, marking a thematic shift from his previous work and sparking numerous rumors.

On November 16, 2018, Tyler put out Music Inspired by Illumination & Dr. Seuss' The Grinch, a 6-track EP tied to Illumination’s movie, The Grinch.

On May 17, 2019, his sixth project, IGOR, was released. It features a unique sound distinct from his prior albums and earned him his first Grammy for Best Rap Album, also becoming his first album to top the Billboard 200.

On June 25, 2021, Tyler unveiled his seventh album, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, which portrays a love affair narrative supported by notable DJ Drama adlibs, reminiscent of 2000s mixtapes. This album secured his second Grammy for Best Rap Album and topped the Billboard 200 again.

Tyler's eighth album, CHROMAKOPIA, was teased on October 16, 2024, and released on October 28, 2024.

Additionally, Tyler runs a fashion brand named Golf Wang and created two comedic TV shows for Adult Swim: Loiter Squad and The Jellies. Recently, he launched GOLF le FLEUR*, initially a shoe collaboration with Converse, now offering fragrances, accessories, and luxury fashion.
