Two Shell

Two Shell are an anonymous British electronic duo from London who've been releasing music since 2019. They hide their identities behind masks and pranks, sending decoys to interviews and DJ sets and selling a "boring rock" on Bandcamp for £1,000. Their early records came out on the UK techno label Livity Sound, their biggest hits include collaborations with FKA twigs and the Sugababes, and their self-titled debut album followed in 2024, its rollout involving USB sticks set in grey putty and several advance versions sent to the press.

Their second album, Infinite Now, came out on 16 October 2026. Its ten tracks move between house, UK funky, garage and UK techno, and the mood is far brighter than the darker IICONS set from the year before. The lead single, "Rhythm & Sound", debuted on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix, and "Thing About You" was first played at their Dekmantel set the previous summer. Cecile Believe is a credited lyricist and vocalist on "Closer To The Sound". A companion project, Infinite Now+, gathered around 55 more tracks from the same sessions over the summer.

The album has also put the duo at the centre of an argument about AI in dance music. In June they told Resident Advisor, in their first video interview, that they've used AI "for a couple of years now" and consider it "just another instrument". The backlash was loud and early reviews of the album were bruising: Paste gave it an F+. They talked about that fallout and about trying to win back listeners' trust in a Line of Best Fit interview published on 2 November 2026, ahead of a one-off headline show at HERE at Outernet in London on 7 November with visuals by longtime collaborator Weirdcore. Dates in Manchester, Leeds and Nottingham sit around it.
