Squid
Squid's debut album, Bright Green Field, entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 4 after its release on Warp Records in May 2021. Formed in Brighton in 2016 and now based in Bristol, the English five-piece emerged from the Windmill scene with a sound that draws on post-punk, art rock, noise and krautrock.
The band comprises Ollie Judge on vocals and drums, Louis Borlase on guitar and vocals, Anton Pearson on guitar and vocals, Laurie Nankivell on bass and brass, and Arthur Leadbetter on keyboards. Squid first released the EP LINO independently in 2017, then followed it with standalone singles and 2019's Town Centre EP for Speedy Wunderground.
Bright Green Field brought widespread critical acclaim and marked the group's first full-length release for Warp. Squid returned with O Monolith in 2023, which also received critical acclaim, before releasing their third album, Cowards, in 2025.
