Khotin
Khotin is the stage name of Dylan Khotin-Foote, a Canadian electronic musician from Edmonton, Alberta. Born December 13, 1993, he began making music as Happy Trendy before adopting the Khotin name for his 2014 debut album, Hello World.
Working across house, techno, ambient and more experimental electronic forms, Khotin has also used aliases including Khotin Industries, Kumon Plaza, Waterpark, Port Sarim and Area 3. His releases have appeared through outlets including RVNG Intl. and Ghostly International, alongside his own Khotin Industries imprint.
His 2023 album Release Spirit was longlisted for the 2023 Polaris Music Prize. Beyond his recording work, Khotin became a part owner of Normals Welcome, the electronic record label founded by Nik Kozub and Jason Troock.
