Fever Ray
Fever Ray, the solo endeavor of The Knife's Karin Dreijer, retains some of the main group’s icy electronic atmospheres but leans toward a somewhat more organic sound. The project began after The Knife wrapped up promotional activities for their 2006 album, Silent Shout, and Dreijer had their second child. They developed demos and song ideas independently before collaborating with producer Christoffer Berg, known for mixing The Knife’s music. News of Fever Ray emerged in the summer of 2008, and an instrumental version of "If I Had a Heart" appeared on their MySpace page that autumn.
