Young Marco

Young Marco is the stage name of Dutch DJ and producer Marco Sterk, an Amsterdam-based artist associated with experimental electronic music and “float house.” He has also released music under the names YM, Marco Solo, and his own name, Marco Sterk.

Alongside his work as a DJ and producer, Sterk runs the label Safe Trip, which he launched in October 2015. The imprint sits alongside his own recording output and reflects his broader activity within Amsterdam’s electronic music community.

Young Marco’s releases have appeared on a range of electronic labels, including Dekmantel, Ministry of Sound Recordings, Another Dove, Mute, and Plus Records. His catalog is typically discussed in relation to Dutch experimental electronic music, with “float house” also used to describe his sound.
