Numbers
Numbers was a Glasgow club night for seven years before it was a label. It started in 2003, and in 2010 three imprints run by people in its orbit, Wireblock, Dress 2 Sweat and Stuff, folded into the one name. Two of them had already put out Rustie and Hudson Mohawke, both of whom went to Warp afterwards.
What followed built a reputation quicker than the club night had: SOPHIE's records, and the first solo singles from both Jamie xx and Jessie Ware. A festival came in 2013, the Pleasure Principle weekender, run with Dedbeat. The club night hasn't stopped either.
