DreamVille
Dreamville Records is the American independent label founded by rapper J. Cole and his manager Ibrahim Hamad. Established in 2007, it grew from Cole's own recording career into a home for rappers, singers and producers working across contemporary hip-hop and R&B.
Its roster has included Cole alongside Bas, Cozz, Omen, Lute, JID and EarthGang, with Ari Lennox also among the artists associated with the label. The producer side of Dreamville includes Elite, Ron Gilmore and Cedric Brown, reflecting the label's interest in building records from within its own circle as well as releasing artist-led projects. Spillage Village, the collective involving EarthGang and JID, is part of that wider creative network.
Dreamville operated with Interscope Records, a Universal Music Group unit, for distribution before ending that deal in July 2025. The label remains identified with the artists and collaborators around J. Cole's camp, from established names such as Cozz and JID to newer voices including luhez and Indy Skies.
