Silk Sonic

Silk Sonic is an R&B/soul and funk super-duo, made up of American singer-songwriters Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak.

In late February 2021, they announced their first album as a duo, titled *An Evening With Silk Sonic*, which was introduced by three singles: "Leave The Door Open" (released on March 5), "Skate" (on July 30), and "Smokin' Out The Window" (on November 5).

The album was eventually released on November 12, 2021, marking a creative pinnacle in the artists' collaboration. The duo began working on what would become Silk Sonic's debut album while .Paak was opening for Bruno during the European leg of his *24K Magic Tour* in 2017.

While Silk Sonic is Bruno Mars' first significant collaborative project, Paak had previously teamed up with producer Knxwledge as part of NxWorries.
