Orions Belte
Orions Belte is an instrumental pop and rock band from Oslo, formed in 2016 by bassist Chris Holm and guitarist Øyvind Blomstrøm. The group is completed by drummer Kim Åge Furuhaug, with the trio working across psychedelic rock, indie rock and pop-informed instrumental music.
The band released its debut album, Mint, in 2018, followed by Villa Amorini in 2021. Villa Amorini was nominated for the 2021 Spellemannprisen in the alternative pop/rock category. During the coronavirus pandemic, Orions Belte staged a streamed tour of outdoor performances in natural settings. Music from those shows became both the concert film and live album The Scenic Route, released in 2021.
In November 2021, the band issued Chris Holm, the first in a planned set of three albums that also serves as a solo album for each member. Orions Belte were nominated for the Bendiksen Prize in 2026. Beyond their own recordings, the members worked as session musicians on Irish artist CMAT’s 2023 album Crazymad, For Me, recorded in Bergen with producer Matias Tellez.
