Objekt

Objekt is the recording alias of electronic music producer and DJ TJ Hertz. He is based in Berlin and is associated with idm and breakbeat, working in a style that draws on detailed sound design and club-focused rhythms. Hertz has also used the names Object, DJ Bogdan, and his own name, TJ Hertz.

Alongside his work as an artist, Hertz has a background in music technology. He worked at Native Instruments as a DSP (digital signal processing) developer, a role that places him within the engineering side of electronic music production tools as well as the performance and recording world.

Hertz also runs the label Kapsela, connecting his output as Objekt with label activity and curation. His releases have appeared via Kapsela, which functions as an outlet for his work and a platform aligned with his approach to electronic music.
