NERVO
Nervo are an Australian DJ duo comprising twin sisters Olivia and Miriam Nervo. Before becoming known primarily as performers and producers under the Nervo name, they built careers as songwriting partners, a path that began after they signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing at 18 years of age.
Their development as writers accelerated in 2008, when they signed with Fredrik Olsson and his Swedish music publishing company, Razor Boy Music Publishing. That relationship led to a prominent early credit: co-writing “When Love Takes Over,” performed by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland, a single that went on to win a Grammy Award. Alongside their work for other artists, the sisters were also producing and releasing music under the Nervo name from 2005 onward, gradually shifting the project into a full-time recording and DJ act.
As Nervo, the twins have worked within electronic dance music, spanning styles commonly associated with house and electro-leaning club music. Their recorded output as a duo culminated in the release of their debut album, Collateral, in 2015, marking a milestone after years of singles, collaborations, and production work. The Nervo name is also associated with variations and nicknames tied to the duo’s twin identity, including “The Nervo Twins” and “Mim & Liv,” reflecting their long-running partnership both as writers and as performers.
