Moderat
Moderat brought together two established Berlin electronic projects, pairing Sascha Ring, known as Apparat, with Modeselektor's Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. The group's name combines Modeselektor and Apparat, reflecting its collaborative foundation.
Working across electronic music's more detailed and club-facing forms, Moderat's music draws on electronica, IDM, techno, glitch and house, alongside indietronica. Their releases have appeared through Monkeytown Records, as well as Global Underground and Keinemusik. Live performance has been a significant part of the project: Resident Advisor readers voted Moderat the No. 1 Live Act of the Year in 2009.
Moderat have released four studio albums. Their latest, More D4ta, arrived on May 13, 2022.
