Kah-Lo
Kah-Lo, born Faridah Demola Seriki, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter whose work with British DJ Riton on “Rinse and Repeat” earned a nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 59th Grammy Awards. The Lagos artist moves between electronic dance music and Nigerian pop, with a vocal style that has carried across solo releases and international collaborations.
She is best known for “Fasta,” her debut single, released on 11 August 2017. Annie Mac selected the track as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record in the World on 22 August that year. Kah-Lo and Riton continued their partnership with “Betta Riddim,” “Money,” featuring Mr. Eazi and Davido, and the Triple J hits “Fake ID” and “Ginger.”
In October 2018, Kah-Lo and Riton released their collaborative album Foreign Ororo. She later issued her debut solo album, Pain/Pleasure, on 8 September 2023, marking a full-length release under her own name after several years of collaborative dance records.
