George Ezra
George Ezra, born on 7 June 1993, is an English singer-songwriter. After putting out two EPs—Did You Hear the Rain? in October 2013 and Cassy O' in March 2014—Ezra gained recognition with his hit single "Budapest," which broke into the top ten in several countries, reaching number one in Austria, New Zealand, and the Czech Republic.
Ezra's first studio album, Wanted on Voyage, was released on 30 June 2014, topping the UK charts and reaching the top ten in seven other countries. It was the third best-selling album in the UK in 2014. Zane Lowe, a BBC Radio One DJ, described him as "one of the most compelling and powerful new vocalists around."
In 2017, Ezra released the single "Don’t Matter Now," a fun track with a different style. His eagerly anticipated second album, Staying at Tamara’s, came out on March 23, 2018. The album features the singles "Paradise" and "Shotgun," which reached #2 and #1 on the UK Singles Chart, respectively. Notably, "Shotgun" was a last-minute addition to the album.
In 2018, George Ezra launched his podcast ‘George Ezra & Friends,’ featuring guests like Ed Sheeran, Rag'n'Bone Man, Sam Smith, Elton John, and Niall Horan. It earned Bronze at the British Podcast Awards in the Listener's Choice Category.
