ARKADYAN
ARKADYAN is a trio: Benjy on percussion, Gabriel on trumpet and flutes, Marina on decks and production. They met playing separate rooms in Dubai and formed properly during the pandemic. What they make is house with the organic parts actually played rather than sampled, which is why the trumpet lines sound like a person instead of a preset.
The material has drifted from downtempo toward afro house and Balkan brass, and 'Iag Bari' and 'Dark Eyes' take the second route furthest. They run their own night, ARKADYAN Voyage, which has held a winter residency at Surf Club in Dubai and a summer one at Beachouse in Ibiza.
