L.I.E.S.
L.I.E.S. stands for Long Island Electrical Systems. Ron Morelli started it in Brooklyn in 2010 while working the counter at A1 Records in Manhattan, and once Hard Wax began stocking the twelve-inches they didn't stay in the racks long.
The records tend to be rough on purpose: house and techno with the edges left on, enough of it from one city that people started calling it outsider house. Delroy Edwards, Terekke and Tzusing came up through the label, and it found Legowelt a second audience.
