BIGHIT MUSIC

BigHit Music is the South Korean label founded by Bang Si-hyuk in 2005, best known as the home of BTS and Tomorrow X Together. It began as Big Hit Entertainment, a name used during the company’s early years and through the rise of its principal acts, before a 2021 restructuring separated its label business into an independent operation under Hybe Corporation.

The change followed the renaming of Big Hit Entertainment Co., Ltd. as Hybe Corporation. In March 2021, the label arm was spun off and rebranded as BigHit Music, retaining a direct connection to the artist development work associated with the earlier Big Hit Entertainment name. The label’s roster includes soloist Lee Hyun alongside boy groups BTS, Tomorrow X Together and Cortis.

BTS sits at the centre of BigHit Music’s recorded output, with members Jin, j-hope, Jimin and V also represented through solo work. The label’s history extends beyond its current roster: it previously managed soloist Lim Jeong-hee and the groups 8Eight and 2AM, and co-managed Glam. From its Seoul-based South Korean pop infrastructure, BigHit Music has carried forward the catalogue and artist relationships developed under Big Hit Entertainment while operating as a distinct label within Hybe.
