Zedd
Anton Zaslavski, known as Zedd, is a Russian-German DJ and producer from Kaiserslautern, Germany.
He began his musical career by playing drums in his brother’s metal band, Dioramic. After reaching out to Skrillex with a message and a demo on social media, his path as a producer and DJ took off.
Zedd made a significant impression by signing his first major single “Shave It Up” to Skrillex’s label OWSLA in 2011. He gained prominence in late 2012 with his debut album Clarity and its title track featuring the English singer Foxes, which earned a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
Zedd has since collaborated with artists like Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber, making a notable impact in the pop music scene.
In 2015, Zedd released his second studio album, True Colors, which solidified his position in both pop and electronic music genres. It featured the top 20 lead single “I Want You To Know” with Selena Gomez.
In 2017, Zedd released the hit single “Stay” with Alessia Cara, followed by “Get Low” with Liam Payne, which achieved less success. However, “The Middle” with Grey and Maren Morris, released afterward, became highly successful on the Hot 100, marking his fourth top 10 single in the U.S.
