Jungle
Jungle emerged from London in early 2013 as the project of producers Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, pairing electronic production with funk, soul, disco and psychedelic touches. Their self-titled 2014 debut, released through XL Recordings, was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and introduced the band's polished, groove-led approach.
The group followed it with For Ever in 2018, their second album for XL. Jungle then moved to their independent label, Caiola Records, for Loving in Stereo in 2021. Lydia Kitto was a main musical contributor to that record, and her role expanded on 2023's Volcano, for which she co-wrote every track with Lloyd-Watson, also known as J Lloyd.
After Jungle's BRIT nomination for Group of the Year, Kitto officially joined Lloyd-Watson and McFarland as a full-time member in late 2023. The band released its fifth studio album, Sunshine, in 2026, continuing a catalogue that has moved from its early XL releases to work issued through Caiola Records.
