
Disturbed
Disturbed, an American heavy metal band from Chicago, Illinois, was initially formed in 1994 under the name Brawl. In 1996, lead singer Erich Awalt was replaced by David Draiman, leading to a name change to "Disturbed."
They are best known for their hits "Down With The Sickness" and their rendition of "The Sound of Silence."
The band went on hiatus in July 2011 to take a break from touring, during which members pursued side projects such as Device, Fight Or Flight, Adrenaline Mob, and Art Of Anarchy. Disturbed returned in 2015, announcing their comeback with the album Immortalized, recorded in secret. They released the album's first single, “The Vengeful One,” beforehand. Immortalized marked Disturbed's fifth consecutive studio album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, positioning them alongside Metallica and Dave Matthews Band as one of the few groups to achieve this feat.
