Boozoo Bajou
Boozoo Bajou are a German duo whose music blends Cajun sounds with island rhythms, drawing together dub, downtempo, jazz and electronic production. Formed in Nürnberg by Florian Seyberth and Peter Heider, the pair have been active since 1997.
Their debut album, Satta, arrived in 2001, followed by Dust My Broom in 2005. Alongside their own recordings, Boozoo Bajou have remixed work by artists including Common, Tosca, Trüby Trio and Tony Joe White. Their output is associated with a spacious, rhythm-led approach that moves between lounge-informed downtempo, ambient dub, trip hop and reggae-inflected grooves.
