Addison Groove
Antony “Tony” Williams, known professionally as Addison Groove, is an electronic music artist from Bristol, United Kingdom. Working under the Addison Groove name as well as aliases including A. Groove, AG, Headhunter, and his own name, Williams is associated with a hybrid approach that draws on multiple strands of UK and US club music.
He is noted for fusing styles such as techno, jungle, soul, juke, and dubstep, a combination that places his work at the intersection of bass-heavy dance music and rhythm-driven forms rooted in breakbeat traditions. This stylistic range has also connected him to scenes and sounds often grouped under terms such as footwork, UK funky, breakbeat, and dub techno.
Williams released his first album, Nomad, on Tempa in 2008. The record marked an early full-length statement of his sound and positioned him within a label context closely associated with UK bass music. His subsequent output has continued under the Addison Groove name alongside occasional releases credited to his alternate monikers.
