Feel My Bicep
Feel My Bicep was a blog for four years before it pressed anything. Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar, childhood friends from Belfast, started it in 2008 to post the lost disco, Chicago house, Detroit techno and Italo records they were turning up, and the audience it built arrived before either of them had much of a discography.
The label followed in September 2012, by which point the pair had put records out through Throne of Blood, Traveller Records and Mystery Meat and joined Will Saul's Aus Music. It didn't carry the blog's format over, only its taste: house, disco and techno, from Bicep and from the producers around them.
