20/20 LDN Recordings
Ivy Lab set up 20/20 LDN so they wouldn't have to choose. The London trio, then Sabre, Stray and Halogenix, were established in drum and bass and had built up a body of slower, halftime, hip-hop-leaning material that didn't fit there, so in late 2015 they gave it a separate home. The first release was a compilation, 20/20 Volume One, that November.
The remit they described sits between footwork, jungle, hip-hop and what came downstream of those. It worked quickly: DJ Mag named it best breakthrough label at the 2016 Best of British awards. Halogenix left the group in 2018, and when Ivy Lab announced they were splitting, the label was the part they said would keep going.
