Ten Ven

Ten Ven is a UK house producer whose records have gone out through Greco-Roman, Weapons, Partyfine, Shadow Child's Food imprint and Anjunadeep. That's a wide enough spread that the through-line has to be the production rather than a genre, and it is: heavy low end, hypnotic funk, and a finish that keeps the tracks legible in a mix.

The influences run from Chicago house and French disco to British techno. He set up his own label, When I Met You, to release 'Turn It Up'. More recently Future Disco has been the main home, with 'Reachin' Up' and 'What About You' both arriving there in 2023.
