Lucy

Lucy is the stage name of Italian DJ and producer Luca Mortellaro, a techno artist closely associated with Berlin’s club and label infrastructure. Working across techno, minimal techno, and dub techno, he has been active as both a solo producer and a curator, with a profile that extends beyond performance into label direction and long-form artistic projects.

Mortellaro is the founder of Stroboscopic Artefacts, a Berlin-based imprint that has served as a platform for his own releases and for a broader aesthetic spanning hypnotic, reduced techno and more experimental approaches. His work under the Lucy name is commonly linked to a stripped-back, detail-focused production style, drawing on the spatial depth and repetition of dub techno alongside the tighter rhythmic frameworks of minimal and contemporary techno.
