Edu Imbernon

Edu Imbernon was on course to finish an Economics degree in Valencia when he changed his mind and went to Berlin. His remix of The xx's 'Crystalised' is where the method he's used since came from: live instruments and vocals built into the arrangement rather than laid over it. Remixes for Metronomy and WhoMadeWho worked the same way.

Fayer began in late 2012 as a party for about 70 people in the upstairs room of a Valencian club, and it's since become a label and an event series as well. The imprint deals in records sitting between song-led indie and the dancefloor, which is also where his own 'Fixing Fires' and the Duologue collaboration 'Underworld' land. He runs a second label, Eklektisch, alongside it.
