Swamp 81
Named after Operation Swamp 81, the London-wide 1981 campaign against burglary and robbery that led to race riots, Swamp 81 is a UK dubstep and electro label run by Loefah. Its name ties the imprint to a charged moment in London history rather than a conventional label-branding exercise.
Swamp 81 operates alongside its sister label, School Records. Its roster includes Sumgii, placing the label within a bass-focused electronic context shaped by dubstep and electro.
