Stroom
Stroom grew out of the online radio station Stroom.tv and was founded in 2016 under the wings of Music Mania. Run by Ziggy Devriendt, with art direction by Nana Esi, the Belgian label moves between archival work and contemporary releases.
Its catalogue revisits overlooked electronic music from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s while giving space to newer artists including Voice Actor, Florian T M Zeisig, Pablo’s Eye, Martyna Basta and Dali Muru & The Polyphonic Swarm. The result is a label identity rooted in exploratory electronic music, with reissues and new work sharing the same curious, left-field outlook.
