Saddest Factory
Saddest Factory Records was founded by Phoebe Bridgers on October 5, 2020, as an American imprint of Dead Oceans. Its roster brought together artists working across intimate indie-pop, singer-songwriter music and more theatrical strains of alternative rock.
The label signed Claud, Charlie Hickey, Sloppy Jane and Muna, whose work reflected the personal, emotionally direct songwriting associated with the imprint. Danielle Ponder was also among the artists connected with Saddest Factory.
In June 2026, Saddest Factory merged into Dead Oceans following a trademark dispute, ending its run as a separate label.
