Mr Bongo

A British label established in 1989. Initially located in a small record shop with the same name, beneath the Daddy Kool Reggae Store on Berwick Street in London. Over the subsequent years, Mr. Bongo relocated three times within Soho and opened a branch in Shibuya, Japan. In 1999, the label's office was moved to Brighton, leading to the closure of the London and Shibuya shops in 2003, and a new shop was launched in Brighton in 2016. Since 2004, the label has also ventured into the cinema industry and has a publishing division that creates and licenses music for third-party use. Label Code: LC 12527.
