Minimal Wave
Minimal Wave was founded in New York City by Veronica Vasicka in 2005, with a mission to bring previously unavailable music back into circulation. Its work has centred on cassette-era recordings from the 1980s, particularly minimal synth and new wave, rescuing private releases and overlooked material from a period when much of this music existed outside conventional commercial channels.
The label's catalogue connects austere electronic pop, analogue synth arrangements and cold-wave-inflected new wave from artists including Martin Dupont, In Trance 95, Deux, Crior Daquin and Vicious Pink.
