INVADA Records
Invada Records began in Australia in 2002, founded by Geoff Barrow, Ashley Anderson and Fraser Stuart. Barrow and Anderson had already worked together on several projects after meeting in 1998. A UK arm followed in 2003, with Barrow developing a roster that connected British releases with the label's Australian base.
The label's early catalogue included Katalyst's debut album Manipulating Agent, released in April 2002. The record earned Katalyst an ARIA nomination and wins for Best Album and Best Producer at the 2002 Australian Dance Music Awards. Canberra hip-hop duo Koolism later won the ARIA for Best Urban Release for Random Thoughts PT3. Invada's later roster includes artists such as Billy Nomates, Benefits, TVAM, Kyvaia and NAWAIBUKI.
