Hessle Audio

Hessle Audio is a London electronic music label founded by DJs and producers Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound. Run by David Kennedy, the producer known as Pearson Sound, Ben Thomson, known as Ben UFO, and Kevin McAuley, known as Pangaea, the label grew from the founders' shared work as DJs and producers.

Its releases move across house, techno, UK garage, dubstep and electronica, reflecting a club-focused approach that doesn't stay inside one genre. Pearson Sound and Pangaea's own records sit alongside music from artists including Objekt, James Blake, Blawan, Martyn, Peverelist and Olof Dreijer of The Knife. More recent names associated with the label include Jasmín, Impérieux and Josi Devil.

Hessle Audio's identity is closely tied to its three founders' different roles behind the decks and in the studio. Ben UFO's DJ work, together with Pangaea and Pearson Sound's production, gives the label a clear connection to London's electronic and dance-music culture while leaving room for artists working between its established styles.
