Constellation
Constellation is a Montreal-based Canadian independent label founded in 1997 by Don Wilkie and Ian Ilavsky. Its early identity is closely tied to post-rock, with releases by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band, and Do Make Say Think.
The label's catalogue also reaches beyond that foundation. Godspeed-related projects Re: and 1-Speed Bike brought leftfield electronics and cut-up experimentation into the fold, while later artists including Kee Avil, Jessica Moss, SANAM, The Dwarfs of East Agouza and T. Gowdy reflect a broad interest in exploratory, independent music.
