Concord Records
Concord Records is an American record label owned by Concord and based in Los Angeles, California. It was launched in 1995 as an imprint intended to extend the company’s reach beyond its foundational Concord Jazz label, signaling a broader musical remit than jazz alone.
The label’s identity is tied to that expansion, operating as a platform for releases that sit outside the earlier Concord Jazz focus while remaining part of the same corporate family. Concord Records’ roster has included artists across contemporary popular and roots-oriented music, reflecting an approach built around established songwriters and bands as well as newer acts. Among the artists associated with the label are Sarah McLachlan, Matt Berninger, The Offspring, Valerie June, Spacey Jane, Daffo, Noah Floersch, and Deloyd Elze, a range that illustrates its movement between alternative rock, singer-songwriter work, and adjacent genres.
Concord Records’ artists have collectively received significant industry recognition, with 14 Grammy Awards and 88 Grammy nominations credited to the label’s artists. The label continues to operate under the Concord umbrella from its Los Angeles base.
