Zero 7

Trip HopDowntempo

Zero 7 is a UK downtempo duo formed by Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker. They started as studio engineers at Mickie Most’s RAK recording studio in London, working on music for British acts like the Pet Shop Boys, Young Disciples, and Robert Plant. The name Zero 7 was inspired by a bar named Cero Siete on the Honduran island Utila, where Binns and Hardaker spent time. Upon returning to the UK, they were commissioned by Radiohead to remix the song “Climbing Up the Walls.” They named their remix “the Zero 7 Mix,” and the name has remained.
