X-Press 2
X-Press 2 are an English electronic dance music act best known as a duo comprising DJ Diesel (Darren House) and DJ Rocky (Darren Rock). The group began as a trio with Ashley Beedle alongside Diesel and Rocky, and has also been billed under a range of name variants including X-Press II and Xpress-2.
Working within house and related club styles, X-Press 2 have been associated with genres such as Chicago house, classic house, disco house, tribal house, vocal house, and classic progressive house. Their profile grew in the early 2000s, when they received a DJ Award in 2002 and an Ivor Novello Award in 2003.
In 2009, Ashley Beedle left X-Press 2 to pursue solo projects, after which the act continued as the Diesel and Rocky duo. The name X-Press 2 has also been linked to additional aliases, including 7th Movement, Darksyde, and Submission.
