Three Days Grace is a Canadian alternative rock band formed in 1997 and currently based in Toronto. The group features lead vocalist Matt Walst, lead guitarist Barry Stock, drummer Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. They are recognized for their metal-influenced hard rock sound and clever songwriting.

The band originated from Groundswell, a five-member high-school band formed in 1992 with Adam Gontier as lead vocalist, Neil Sanderson as drummer, Brad Walst as bassist, Phil Crowe as lead guitarist, and Joe Grant as rhythm guitarist. Groundswell released an album, Wave of Popular Feeling in 1995, before disbanding the same year. In 1997, Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson, and Brad Walst regrouped under the name “Three Days Grace”.
