Steve Bug

Steve Bug is the stage name of Stefan Brügesch, a German DJ and producer associated with house, techno, and minimal techno. Based in Bremen, he has been active as a DJ since 1991 and is also known for work under a wide range of aliases, including Bug, Mr. Steve Bug, S. Bug, Steeve Bug, Steve Bugg, Superlova, Traffic Signs, Flashy Fragrant, Loop Hotel, and B Series. Additional credited names include S.B. Entertainment, The Chi Chi Squad, and Stefan Brügesch.

Alongside his work as a performer and recording artist, Bug has been involved in label activity. He founded Raw Elements, Dessous Recordings, and Poker Flat Recordings, the latter becoming closely identified with his output and the minimal-leaning house and techno sound associated with his name. His recordings have also appeared on labels such as KMS Records, Moon Harbour, Sublease Music, and Shall Not Fade, reflecting a career that moves between house and techno contexts while remaining rooted in German club music.
