Session Victim
Session Victim are a German DJ and production duo formed by Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling. The pair met in Lüneburg and began DJing together in 1997 before leaving the city in 2001: Freer moved to Berlin, while Reiling relocated to Hamburg.
Reiling later played in Hamburg metal band Tutribes, while Freer moved into label management, co-founding Retreat with Quarion. Session Victim's first release arrived in 2008. Their work moves through house and deep house, with jazz, lo-fi and Balearic elements in the mix. They signed with Jimpster's Delusions of Grandeur in 2012 and joined Night Time Stories in 2020.
