Ross from Friends
Felix Clary Weatherall, known as Ross from Friends, took his stage name from a studio television that had a DVD of Friends stuck inside it and would only play episodes of the sitcom. Weatherall had already made music under several names before settling on Ross from Friends in 2012.
Born in June 1993, Weatherall is a British electronic music producer and DJ from Colchester. His work moves through house and downtempo electronic music, with a lo-fi approach that has also placed him alongside outsider house and future garage.
Weatherall is signed to Brainfeeder, the independent label founded by Flying Lotus. Under the Ross from Friends name, he released his debut album, Family Portrait, in July 2018. The record brought him wider notice, with The Guardian naming him “one to watch.” He has also released music as Bubble Love.
