
Roger Sanchez
Roger Sánchez is the American house DJ, remixer and producer behind “Another Chance,” the 2001 international hit that remains his best-known song. Born Roger René Sánchez on June 1, 1967, he is from Queens, New York, and has worked across house music as a producer, DJ and remix specialist, also recording under names including The S-Man, Underground Solution and The Rhythm Factor.
Sánchez received a Grammy Award in 2003 for his remix of No Doubt’s “Hella Good.” His work as a DJ has also been recognized at the DJ Awards, where he won Best House DJ four times: in 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2007. He received 12 nominations there in total.
In 2007, Sánchez won the first International Dance Music Award for Best Podcast. Between 2003 and 2010, he also received eight IDMA nominations for Best American DJ. His career has connected club-focused house production with high-profile remix work, with “Another Chance” providing the defining international record in his catalog.
