Pearson Sound
David Kennedy, known professionally as Pearson Sound, is a London-based electronic dance music producer, mix engineer and DJ. Born in 1988, he is also known by the aliases Ramadanman, Maurice Donovan and DJ Harlow.
Pearson Sound’s music brings together house, dubstep, UK funky, UK garage and jungle, with a club-focused approach that has also touched breakbeat, techno, footwork and experimental electronic music. Alongside his work as a producer and DJ, he has worked as a mix engineer and mastering engineer.
He is one of the three founders of Hessle Audio, the London label associated with his work alongside releases on outlets including Timedance, Blue Flowers Music and dh2. In October 2024, a review of his EP Which Way Is Up described the release as cementing Pearson Sound’s position among “UK electronic music’s all time greats.”
