Oscar Mulero

Oscar Mulero, born Óscar Mulero Crecente in Madrid, has been a key figure in Spanish underground techno since the early 1990s. His professional career began in the late 1980s, when he started playing Madrid clubs including New World and Overdrive, venues oriented toward EBM and techno. Those early sets placed him within the city’s developing electronic music culture before his work as a producer became central to his profile.

In 1994, Mulero founded The Omen Club in Madrid. He later built a recording career around techno productions, becoming known as a leading exponent of underground techno from the early 2000s onward. His work has also appeared under names including O. Mulero, Trolley Route, infamous Monster and Double Sided Hospital, alongside releases issued under his own name.

Mulero has run Warm Up Recordings since 2000 and PoleGroup Recordings, also known as Pole Recordings, since 2004. Both labels have catalogs of more than 100 releases, providing outlets for his work in techno and related minimal, dub and acid approaches. His 2012 album Black Propaganda received largely positive reviews from the online techno community. Alongside recording, he remains active as a DJ and producer associated with Madrid’s long-running underground electronic tradition.
