Jun Seba (瀬場潤, February 7, 1974 – February 26, 2010) was a Japanese hip-hop producer and DJ who worked under the name Nujabes (ヌジャベス), which is his name spelled in reverse using the Japanese order. It's pronounced “Newjuh-bess.” Nujabes was skilled in sampling to craft music, often exploring Latin music. He also owned the Shibuya record stores, T Records, and Guinness Records, and he founded the independent label Hydeout Productions. His life was tragically cut short by a car accident on February 26, 2010. Despite his brief career, Nujabes' legacy continues with tribute albums from labelmates and a dedicated subreddit.
