Neil Frances is the indie-dance duo of Jordan Feller and Marc Gilfry, formed in 2016. Before the project took shape, Feller and Gilfry were writing pop material for female vocalists. The pair soon found they preferred the raw, original versions of their demos, a shift that led them toward making music under their own name.

The name Neil Frances combines names from Feller's family: Neil is his father's name and Frances is his mother's. Early recordings attracted radio support and bootleg plays from outlets including KCRW and triple j. By 2017, the duo had built up more than an album's worth of material and began releasing music under the Neil Frances banner.

That year, Neil Frances released a cover of Stardust's “Music Sounds Better with You.” The recording became their most widely documented release, earning platinum certification in Australia and gold certification in Canada. Its video has received 5.9 million views on YouTube, while the track has passed 197.2 million streams on Spotify. It also found a substantial audience on TikTok, where it went viral with 631 million views.

Based in Los Angeles, Neil Frances work across indie soul, electronic music, soul, indietronica and indie pop. Their releases have appeared through Nettwerk Music Group, Counter Records and Ghostly International.
