Motez
Before producing electronic music as Motez, Adelaide artist Moutaiz Al-Obaidi studied classical piano, a foundation reflected in the track “Own Up.” His work moves through house, deep house, electro, tech house and juke, with a stated pull toward 1990s club music.
Motez drew early industry attention in Australia, including support duties on Disclosure’s Australian tour and a main-stage appearance at Field Day. Flume named him among artists he was excited about alongside Ta-ku and Wave Racer. His releases have appeared through labels including Sweat It Out, Own Your Chaos, Thrive Music, Kannibalen Records and CLUB MADHOUSE.
